Chapter 19

Shanice:

Things were somewhat returning to normal; it had been almost three months since I had the twins and they were everything to me. I thought the love I had for Demarrion was unconditional, but it didn’t measure to the love I had for my babies.

Things between me and Demarrion weren’t perfect, but we were trying to get back on the right track. I loved him too much to let him go, and almost losing him gave me a different perception on life.

Mama Nessa agreed to watch the kids while I went back to the shop and I was having serious separation anxiety; I had to will myself not to call her every five minutes. Demarrion was almost back to his old self and I thanked God every single day that he allowed him to come back to me.

“Sha!” Shanelica said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“Huh, what happened?”

“Girl, what the hell is on your mind?” she asked me.

“Nothing, I was just thinking about my babies,” I replied, pouting.

“Sha, the twins are in good hands. I know it’s hard being away from them but, trust me, when they start getting into shit, you gonna be ready to send they bad asses somewhere,” she laughed.

“Don’t be talkin bout my babies,” I laughed, swatting her with the comb.

“Shit, if them lil jokers anything like they damn daddy, then they gon be bad as hell!” she told me.

“Make me stick this needle in yo scalp heffa!” I taunted.

I dropped the needle I was holding and rushed out the door, but I wasn’t quick enough to catch her because she hopped in the car with her sister.

“You fucked with the wrong bitch!” she spat out the window.

“And you fucked with the right one bitch; you gon see me hoe! Ol scary ass, get out the fuckin car and pop that shit!” I shouted, walking toward the car.

Just like the scary bitches they were, they pulled off, burning rubber. My blood boiled looking at my car; that bitch busted out all four of my windows and cracked my windshield. I wasn’t pregnant now and I had something for that ass when I caught up to her.

“That bitch gon get hers, don’t even trip Sha,” Nel said, coming to stand next to me.

Instead of responding, I calmly walked back into my shop and headed straight for my office. Grabbing my phone, I called Demarrion and paced the floor while the phone rang.

“What’s good mama?”

“I’m gonna kill that bitch; just make sure you have my lawyer and bond money on standby,” I told him calmly.

“Whoa slow down, kill who ma?” he asked in confusion.

“Jessica, that bitch came to my
